Let's get one thing straight about the proposed 3rd interchange at Rodburn Hollow: It is NOT about developing the east end of the county. It is about providing an easier access to the university. The university wants it and they use their city council "tools" to get it. They don't care about the school, the forest, the coal trucks, etc. The bottom line is enrollment increases. You see, the state mandates enrollment increases and this university has to get creative. They have done a good job. Just look at the local paper which runs articles about the "historic" value of Morehead. They have declared many historic landmarks. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but their reason is to make Morehead more appealing to prospective students. They want us to appear as a classy town rich with historic tradition (like lexington). Yes, the university controls much here. If you take every local controversy and figure the university's place in it, then you will see the real issue. The super walmart-- the u wants it, new movie theatre? The bridge over 32? Road swaps? (oh you didn't hear about that one?)
The "History" around here is selective, like it is most places. The locals I think are grasping at straws to find something left of our history that has been torn down by the powers that be economic and political; and then there is the forces of pollitical correctness that edits out things like what happened to the man the spot on the map was named after. This town would not be here were it not for pollitical and economic manipulation. The concrete road from main st to maysville (old flemingsburg rd) was put in to march the pigs out of here to proctor and gamble in Cin-cin-city, but it was done thru political pork not because it was economically justified to build it. Virtually anywhere a city (or county seat) has been founded where there is not a viable waterway, you can suspect something uniquely pollitical in its history because at the time the county was formed Farmers was the likely candidate for the county seat. Lexington is not on a major waterway either by the way, the playthings of the rich, horses, was a big factor. As far a why student comes here, the parents are as big a factor; as how much they pay, (MSU is still relatively cheep even for out of state tution )tradition as mom and/or dad are Alumni somewhere down on the list is the value of the degree for career prospects and how academically challenged the student is,(MSU has a reputation for being a easy school to get thru while partying) lastly the students fun index, how enjoyable, the experience is going to be as far as on campus and off campus life; THe gay rumors bothe hurt and help enrollment. Dont think prospective students care about a interstate exit. HOWEVER, the traffic jams resulting from the bypass are a factor in the new exit. The west side of town deserves a right and left turnlane on 519 as Adelphia and other trucks go to turn west on 60 they back traffic up some mornings past 1167, anybody want to take a sledgehammer to the concrete curb on the corner??? Any body that can should go down Mcbrayer Road across clearfield hill et c. to aleviate this!!! The new exit is about development of the land on the far end of the connector out cranston, and who out there is connected and invested in that area??? Where is the Snewspapers investigative piece on that? if only just to sqash the rumors even?? What properties have changed hands since right before these plans were made and since, and why the exit is not located for the traffic flow from 799 (rock fork) instead of destroying the rest areas. DEVELOPMENT?? Get rid of the restareas and the land at the exit is more valueable. Leave the rest areas and traffic can just pull off there without spending much money. I agree we need the exit for traffic flow near 32E but the other end could just as well intersect out past Tilden Hogge and leave the rest areas alone. ADDITIONALLY a cars only exit for 799 at the top of the hill is gonna be needed soon enuff, as even with all the fertility reduction going on every 16 to 20 years there are close to twice as many autos and buses on the road. A exit on 211 would also be great, with a bridge at the old ferry crossing or on 1722 (lower licking road) The recient ruling on the commerce clause involving homemade machiene guns shows how local governments could take the situation in there own hands and make "cars only" exits for a fraction of the cost for existing roads like are found in larger metro areas as they are for local or regional traffic and NOT for "interstate commerce" (well except for the drug shipments). I could say more but I have already lost most MSU graduats attention span.
Say what you want about it but THIS is the most convincing expose' I have read so far. Just take a minute or two to check it out. (and look at the dang pictures, please) http://www.public-action.com/911/psyopnews/DOCS/news/vialls_home_run.htm
We need all those agents, informants and operatives from the FBI BATF NSA NRO TSA CIA et c, instead of arresting each others informants or setting up entrapment stings or facilitation of stuff like the 1st WTC bombing et c. we need them watching our borders and catching real illegal alien foriegn terrorists and spies(israeli or not) and domestic theives & criminals instead of hunting down herbs; Crosspollinate the outdoor and non-hepa filtered growroom pot with industrial hemp, just a few fields of several hundred acres located west(upwind) of the easturn dope fields would make a big difference in a few years, a low THC strain would pollinate and dilute the decades of selective breeding efforts of the "gentlemen farmer" of E. KY and probably hundreds of miles into neighboring VA WVA NC E.TN et c. they would have to import high THC seeds each year from somewhere not downwind. Ive seen the difference between the males and the drug crop, if you cant tell the difference nobodies' shown you/you dont know or your lying. And perhaps more taxes would be collected from COED's buying beer since the dope is lame. If I was independantly wealthy instead of runnin for president or other office, I'd do it setting up counter smuggling operations of french or other fibercrop seed and drop it out all over the western half of the state instead of the rattlesnakes rumored to be released by some nongovt environuts, wild ditchweed everywhere, that would do more for this country right now, change the perspective and priorities by making it impractical/improbable to eradicate, in Clark co. just a few yrs ago, it could still be found supposedly.
Point well taken and when I suddenly DIE or Disappear (won't be a verry easy task) then my case in point will be known from cost to cost. The Intranet system combines a variety of public and law enforcement databases, allowing law enforcement agents to quickly search addresses, Social Security numbers, credit card records, criminal histories, drivers license files, property records and other databases to quickly track down suspects. But MATRIX, which is being tested by eight states — including Michigan — as part of a pilot program, is opposed by members of civil liberties groups who say its purpose is largely undefined. They note that MATRIX offers unprecedented access to information about average citizens. “I think it is a dangerous system,” said Jim Dempsey, executive director of the Center for Democracy and Technology, a nonprofit civil liberties group in Washington, D.C. “You could be looking at purely lawful conduct, trying to infer illegal intent from legal behavior.” MATRIX was conceived as a tool to fight terrorism after the September 11 attacks. The plane hijackers were able to avoid detection largely because law enforcement officials had no way to rapidly compile and share what they knew about the men. But it quickly became clear that MATRIX had broad applications for law enforcement agencies across the country. The pilot program is financed by $12 million in grants from the Justice Department and the Department of Homeland Security. The program is scheduled to end in November. Its goal: to link public and law enforcement databases across jurisdictions and states to ease investigations of criminals ranging from sex predators to terrorists. “It is a powerful system. Not scary, not frightening, but much more efficient,” said Bill Shrewsbury, a former cop and now vice president of Seisint Inc., in Boca Raton, Fla., the company that developed the system. “Law enforcement has got to have a tool to do this job.” Civil libertarians say the same efficiency that makes MATRIX so effective in catching suspects like Nelson also could be used improperly. “MATRIX can be used cut off from any particular suspicion,” Dempsey said. He said MATRIX recalls the defunct Total Information Awareness network at the Pentagon. Congress cut off money for the program after it was harshly criticized as a potential threat to privacy rights. http://www.detnews.com/2004/technology/0401/02/a03-24639.htm

"The appearance of a line of light stretching the length of an inaccessible area of Kuwait has stumped both military and petroleum industry experts. The images were spotted by Hank Brandli, a retired Air Force meteorological officer, who picked them up from a nonclassified military weather satellite. Civilian oil industry experts tell POPULAR MECHANICS that the location of the lights, which extend to the Iraqi border, does not correspond with known pipelines. A spokesman for U.S. Central Command, which had a presence in the region from fall 2002 through (at the time of this writing) fall 2003, said it was unaware of any pipeline construction. Brandli, an expert on satellite image analysis, thinks it is a major pipeline project. "Maybe all they're doing is building a highway. (iz gonna eat chicken to keep from getting man cow ) "Roxarsone" in the litter becomes toxic when it is spread on fields and exposed to water, Garbarino said. It most commonly breaks down into arsenate, which is poisonous, though not the most toxic form of arsenic, he said. Garbarino’s study found that litter produced from a typical chicken house puts 8.8 short tons of arsenic into the surrounding environment each year, he said. O’Connor said the arsenic is getting into houses in Prairie Grove, where it is sickening residents. He said tests of dust samples from 30 homes there found high levels of arsenic in 28 of them. Further tests found traces of Roxarsone itself, linking the dust to poultry litter, he said. "That is the absolute fingerprint because there is no Roxarsone in rat poison or weed sprays or anything else" that could raise arsenic levels in the homes, he said. http://www.nwanews.com/adg/story_businessmatters.php?storyid=52161
Here I am, a college student in morehead, who actually ventured down from the bubble that the big eagle puts around you. People in town think because I'm young I must mean two things: Trouble or getting their way. I understand the animostity towards the university, I really do. However, just because I'm young doesn't mean I won't do things like: be a patron of local bussinesses, be a nice person, hang around town and get to know the local color, and tell other people about the town so the cycle begins anew. So think about this, I pay rent, I buy food, I work here, I become a patron of local bussinesses, and I actually tried to get to know the local culture (and the folk art center doesn't count and Poppy Mount. is too expensive). Morehead isn't a bad town, atleast not as bad as everybody makes it out to be. Perhaps the people of Morehead should turn their productive anger away from the "damn college kids" and towards Eaglin's rule of terror. And I would like to add that I understand that alot of college kids do come here and bust stuff up and just generally cause trouble, but I don't and alot of the people I know don't, so we can't all be bad, eh? So, Dare I say it, I LIKE Morehead. I will now return to my little over priced apartment in the Rodburn Area.

If the conservative answer has to be BANG! Then I would BE SURE that the attacker SEES YOUR GUN and HEARS YOU SHOUT "STOP!!!". This senario could end up being a prankster or somebody younger in mind than their actual age (ie: underdeveloped thought process) with a rubber knife only trying to scare somebody. Yes it would be an inmature joke and possibly a deadly one. Im not a lawyer but my advice is: Let them see your gun and hear you shout "STOP!!!" before the BANG.
ANOTHER AWARD FOR BILL O'REILLY http://www.pandagon.net/archives/00002229.htm Bill O'Reilly, who famously falsely claimed to be the winner of two Peabody Awards, has finally won something for real -- top spot on Pandagon.net's list of "the 20 most annoying conservatives of 2003." According to Pandagon webmasters Ezra Klein and Jesse Taylor, O'Reilly "had a hard time getting on this list. I mean, if you take away the 'wetback' commentary, and the 'joke' that a black boys choir was out in the parking lot stealing hubcaps, and the lawsuit against Al Franken, and the embarassing performance at the C-SPAN Book News conference, and the threatening to beat up the son of a 9/11 victim, and the lying about where he grew up, and the whole Peabody Awards thing, and the false 'Fair and Balanced' promise, and the fact that he's a grade-A asshole that most conservatives don't like, and the insistence that anyone who doesn't appear on his show is afraid of him, and the faux-everyman demeanor, and the continuing jihads against Jesse Jackson, rap music, George Clooney, Al Franken, the United Way, Europe, Hollywood, Bill Moyers, the entire American left, Canada and PepsiCola, AND that he lies constantly about being a conservative...well, he still belongs on the list, actually." AL IRAQIYA FAILS TO BE 'INDEPENDENT' NEWS SOURCE https://www.corpwatch.org/issues/PID.jsp?articleid=9508 The U.S. funded Iraqi Media Network was supposed to bring "independent" journalism to a "liberated" Iraq. The reality, however, is that IMN's Al Iraqiya radio and television station are failing, according to CorpWatch's Pratap Chatterjee. The stations, run by top CIA contractor Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), seem almost irrelevant given the more popular satellite news channels Al Jazeera and Al Arabiya and the common criticism that "Al Iraqiya has no news. Just yesterday's information." Working under Coalition Provisional Authority guidelines, Al Iraqiya reporters are barred from reporting anything that might incited violence. Many who worked for SAIC on the IMN project blame the CPA for the network's failure. Veteran network news foreign correspondent Don North called Al Iraqiya 'Project Frustration' when he quit in July. "IMN has become an irrelevant mouthpiece for CPA propaganda, managed news and mediocre programs. I have trained journalists after the fall of tyrannies in Bosnia, Romania and Afghanistan. I don't blame the Iraqi journalists for the failure of IMN. Through a combination of incompetence and indifference, CPA has destroyed the fragile credibility of IMN," North wrote recently. OGILVY & MATHER CHARGED WITH BILKING WHITE HOUSE http://www.odwyerpr.com/members/0106om.htm The U.S. has indicted executives from Ogilvy and Mather, a PR and advertising agency, for participating in an "extensive scheme to defraud the U.S. Government by falsely and fraudulently inflating the labor costs that Ogilvy incurred" for its work on a media campaign for the Office of National Drug Control Policy. According to O'Dwyer's PR Daily, O&M's anti-drug media campaign work was part of a five-year $684 million dollar project. The government claims it was overcharged by O&M from May 1999 to April 2000. "The White House, last month, decided not to renew O&M's anti-drug contract. It will put the business up for review in a bid to improve 'transparency.' O&M can re-bid," O'Dwyer's writes. ? Madore. According to Roberg G. Heim, a former Securities and Exchange Commission attorney, "A very extraordinary aspect of the Martha Stewart case is the amount of public relations efforts that she and her team are making in an attempt to clear her name." MEAT INDUSTRY PR SCRAMBLE TO RESPOND TO MAD COW http://www.prweek.com/news/news_story.cfm?ID=198740&site=3 "Meat-industry trade groups were scurrying during the recent holiday season to coordinate key messages and media lists as they responded to reports of mad cow disease rearing its head in the Western US," PR Week's John Frank writes. PR staffers at the American Meat Institute and the National Cattlemen's Beef Association, working with PR giant Burson-Marsteller, handled a flood of media calls over the Christmas holiday. AMI's top spokeswoman Janet Riley invited NBC News into her kitchen on Christmas day to tape "her preparing beef for dinner in an effort to demonstrate her faith in the safety of the beef supply," PR Week reports. The US Department of Agriculture held daily press briefings, which were followed by "technical briefings" for the press held by NBCA. "Key message points the industry was stressing revolved around the safety of the US beef supply and the extent of efforts underway to track down how the disease reached US shores," PR Week reports. SLUDGE SLIPPAGE http://www.nytimes.com/2004/01/03/national/03SLUD.html The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has denied a petition from 73 labor, environment and farm groups calling for an immediate moratorium on land-based uses of sewage sludge - a practice that we exposed in our 1994 book, Toxic Sludge Is Good For You. "The rejection of the petition followed an announcement by the agency in October, after five years of analysis and study, that it would not regulate dioxins in land-applied sludge," reports the Associated Press. "Dioxins are a class of organic chemicals that EPA studies show pose a possible cancer risk in humans, but the agency said in its October statement that the danger was minimal. The latest announcements by the EPA come a year and a half after a panel of the National Research Council, in a review the agency had asked for, criticized what the council described as outdated science in the agency's assessment of health risks from treated sludge used as fertilizer." Just to show it isn't completely irresponsible, though, the EPA promises to study the problem further and someday may regulate 15 other toxic chemicals in sludge that currently aren't on its watch list. Meanwhile the sludge wars continue at the local level, with communities in Texas and Louisiana fighting unbearable odors, groundwater contamination, and toxic pathogens from sludge, while in Ohio, sludge critics are dismissed as "a lot of kooks." REBRANDING BUSH http://www.guardian.co.uk/international/story/0,3604,1115313,00.html "The White House has retreated from its doctrine of regime change and pre-emptive military action and is returning to traditional diplomacy in an effort to repackage George Bush as a president for peace," the Guardian reports. The British paper writes that recent signs indicate a shift from military action to diplomatic engagement as seen in recent interactions between the U.S. and North Korea, Libya and Iran. Washington analysts see this as an election year strategy, acknowledging the White House finds itself in a delicate situation in Iraq, Afghanistan and Palestine, given continuing violence and the glacial transition to democracy in Iraq and Afghanistan. "With elections 11 months away, Mr Bush does not want to be vulnerable to claims that he has presided over a warmongering strategy that has left Americans little safer than September 11 2001. His shift follows an established pattern in Washington of politicians moving to the centre during an election year," the Guardian writes. USDA PR CHIEF FLACKED FOR THE BEEF INDUSTRY http://www.nytimes.com/2004/01/02/opinion/02SCHL.html Eric Schlosser, author of the hugely popular bestseller Fast Food Nation, notes that the U.S. Department of Agriculture's PR point person on mad cow disease, Alisa Harrison, flacked for the beef industry. "Before joining the department, Ms. Harrison was director of public relations for the National Cattlemen's Beef Association, the beef industry's largest trade group, where she battled government food safety efforts, criticized Oprah Winfrey for raising health questions about American hamburgers, and sent out press releases with titles like 'Mad Cow Disease Not a Problem in the U.S.' ... Right now you'd have a hard time finding a federal agency more completely dominated by the industry it was created to regulate. Dale Moore, Ms. Veneman's chief of staff, was previously the chief lobbyist for the cattlemen's association." Meanwhile, the federal government is failing to take the only steps that will solve the mad cow crisis in America: a total ban on feeding slaughterhouse waste to livestock, and testing tens of millions of cattle. John Stauber says 'it's the cow feed, stupid!' "INSIDE BASEBALL" FROM THE OUTSIDE IN http://journalism.nyu.edu/pubzone/weblogs/pressthink/2004/01/01/inside_baseball.html Jay Rosen thinks coverage of the 2004 presidential election is shaping up as an exercise in "Horse Race Now! Horse Race Tomorrow! Horse Race Forever!" In this time-dishonored tradition of political journalism, reporters use sports as a metaphor for reporting on politics, relying for insights on political insiders who have learned how to spin the "race" as a game of "inside baseball." The result: "An army of sentries encircles the game, guarding every situation from which a glimmer of fresh truth might be allowed to escape." The case has turned out to be so flimsy that the administration has been forced to backtrack and deflect questions about the still missing weapons. KRUGMAN'S RESOLUTIONS http://www.nytimes.com/2003/12/26/opinion/26KRUG.html Columnist Paul Krugman is wondering if the news media will take its job seriously when reporting on the 2004 elections and offers some suggestions to reporters: "Don't talk about clothes." "Actually look at the candidates' policy proposals." "Beware of personal anecdotes." "Look at the candidates' records." "Don't fall for political histrionics." "It's not about you." Although this is all pretty basic advice, concludes, "I don't really expect my journalistic colleagues to follow these rules. ... But history will not forgive us if we allow laziness and personal pettiness to shape this crucial election." and you thot it wus yur wife's cooking or that herd of cattle causing global warming . . . http://www.people.cornell.edu/pages/tg21/usgs.html Outgassing processes, active in all geological epochs, then transported the liquids and gases liberated there into porous rocks of the crust. The alternative viewpoint, that biological debris was the source material for all crustal hydrocarbons, gained widespread acceptance when molecules of clearly biological origin were found to be present in most commercial crude oils. Modern information re-directs attention to the theories of a non-biological, primeval origin. Among this information is the prominence of hydrocarbons—gases, liquids and solids—on many other bodies of the solar system, as well as in interstellar space. Advances in high-pressure thermodynamics have shown that the pressure-temperature regime of the Earth would allow hydrocarbon molecules to be formed and to survive between the surface and a depth of 100 to 300 km. Outgassing from such depth would bring up other gases present in trace amounts in the rocks, thus accounting for the well known association of hydrocarbons with helium. Recent discoveries of the widespread presence of bacterial life at depth point to this as the origin of the biological content of petroleum. The carbon budget of the crust requires an outgassing process to have been active throughout the geologic record, and information from planets and meteorites, as well as from mantle samples, would suggest that methane rather than CO2 could be the major souce of surface carbon. Isotopic fractionation of methane in its migration through rocks is indicated by numerous observations, providing an alternative to biological processes that have been held responsible for such fractionation. Information from deep boreholes in granitic and volcanic rock of Sweden has given support to the theory of the migration of gas and oil from depth, to the occurrence of isotopic fractionation in migration, to an association with helium, and to the presence of microbiology below 4 km depth. . . .
The "liberal v. Conservative" thinking is too black and white of a dog and pony show; the now somewhat worn out phrase "its not right vs left; its right vs. wrong" seems to apply. Also dont get neo-conned not all "republicans" support the "fortunate one"(CCR c1972) "W"; Alot of "conservatives" hold their nose just like alot of Demo-greenies did while supporting Hillbillery, so dont lump me and Ron Paul, Lindon LaRouche, Charles Collins, Gen Ben Parton et c. in to your black and white labels, its too narrow minded. GET BIG GOVERNMENT BACK TO THE RESTRICTIONS OF THE CONSTITUTION (and further declaritory restrictions of the so-called Bill of Rights) The Republican convention was turned into a trade show for Eisenhauer's "Military Industrial Complex"; protect our borders or we haint got no country, just a UN trade zone?

Boy I'm glad to be section 8 material? U.S. soldiers turn down $10K to stay in Iraq Signing bonus temps few BAQOUBA, Iraq (AP) - At a checkpoint on the barren plain east of Baqouba, word of a new U.S. army plan to pay soldiers up to $10,000 US to re-enlist evoked laughter from a few bored-looking troops. "Man, they can't pay me enough to stay here," said a 23-year-old specialist from the army's 4th Infantry Division as he manned the checkpoint with Iraqi police outside this city, 55 kilometres northeast of Baghdad. His comments reflect a sentiment not uncommon among the nearly two dozen soldiers in Iraq who have spoken with The Associated Press since the army announced the increased re-enlistment bonuses for soldiers in Iraq, Afghanistan and Kuwait on Monday. Other soldiers at home were divided about the offer. . . do you feeel a draft? - http://www.thestar.com/NASApp/cs/ContentServer?pagename=thestar/Layout/Article_Type1&c=Article&cid=1073474014685&call_pageid=968332188854&col=968350060724
Hi there 24.51.179.31, I reazize the conservitave vs liberal gun issue was a joke and I took it that way. BUT some folk take everything they read on the www to heart. I would hate not to put in my $0.02 worth and hear on the news that a mentally ill person was shot while scareing somebody with a rubber knife. So I thought it would be a good gesture to give such the person with the knife the oppritunity to surrender, run the other wat or inform the family he was only pranking. The use of deadly force in any event is a verry complex subject. I know that if I shot an overgrown kid with a rubber knife (although it could be justified under the circumstances) I would have a verry hard time liveing with the fact. Yes my friend, I know it was a joke; and a funny one at that. I only realized that somebody may take it to heart and BANG! insted of "STOP OR I'LL SHOOT!".
Paul Patton....One of the worst governors to disgrace the State of Kentucky. We all need to make sure that man never forgets about that....No its not prestigous that you were governor....Its a shame what you did...Your the lowest of the lowlifes! Beau
An armed society is a polite society? people that dont look retarded should not act retarded? or rubber knifes need to have orange blades or stripes like toy guns? Virtually any time someone shoots or stabbs anyone there is gonna be an investigation and for whatever reason there seems to be ad-genda driven news coverage of so & so being indighted for manslaughter for shooting a mugger or burgular et c . . . the gun lobby aside, even a spider has the right to protect itself from a percieved threat but it might get squashed, we humans have to remember that if we get squashed we can die with the satisfaction that we defended ourselves (and others) by deturring a criminal or potential criminal. So "Bang" works as a punchline or rule of engagement for such a situation, stop being so nitpicky there are too many oportunities for violent criminals because of a lack of responcibility for personal protection in our "civilized" society. If the economy continues to decline watch out for more opportunists too, We need to take responcibility for our preparedness beyond just a winter storm also! This Webpage while entertaining and open needs to work for a practical and realistic but positive solution oriented attitude, I hope I am wrong but nightmarish tough times are only 3days to a week away for our society at anytime due to the noinventory point of sale marketing if or when the trucks stop running LOOKOUT. from a webelos

to be patient, practice patience; hope for the best but be pre-paired for the worst; When you are in such a situation as described where an apparent attacker is comming at you; unless you are trained; you really dont know how you are going to react. People in genneral, naturally have a hesitation for harming other people, that is, alot of us anyway, are empathetic. The military found this out by tring to improve the kill ratio before the Viet Nam era, they started experimentation with human shaped "popup" targets that numbed the reflex or hesitation to shoot other humans even when being attacked or shot at in combat. Alot of soldiers, it has been shown on both sides in combat dont aim at anybody but shoot over the heads of the enemy even in the heat of battle. Of cource after that simple pop up target, then came all the acid experimentation like in the movie "Jacob's Ladder"? with McCullie Culcan as the soldier's son I think, spooky movie but inspired by the use of LSD type drugs to improve kill ratios, sick. Now today there are realistic 3D shotgun video games that one wunders if they weren't developed indirectly at least by the military-industrial complex to have a pretrained/nummed generation to pick out infantry from?? There are supposedly thousands of psyops running at anygiven time, "peacetime" numbers I have read about are 10k-14,000 seperate ops, that is in addition to all the front coumbanies
What are they gonna do with the MSU president's house if Eaglin moves it (before retiring) to over in front of the lake behind Normal Hall above the Physical Plant where they just bought that house rumors? And yea if the dam were to fail as "bill" mentioned up above not because of too much water but because the rock and dirt becomes waterlogged/saturated, as earthen dams sometimes do, it would probably wipe out most of this side of town for more parking lots? and with the courthouse washed away MSU would be free to turn the whole place into a biosphere reserve area with no traffic? since the records of deeds and such would have to be reassembled from tax records that werent burried in the mud? Jus so you know I do not think the dam is in danger of failing but "bill" mentioned it and I thot of the 2nd presidents home issue. More parking is needed for businesses downtown that are being taken by students for two hours and then moving for another two hours so they dont get a ticket. I also heard they want to stop the shuttle busses from the commuter lots accross the bypass so get ready to walk as they will probably ban bikes just like they did with rollerblades and skate board, its all about ensuring compliance and sumbmitting to the enlightened regents?
Patton's Mistress Connor supposedly had a book deal in mind when she started the affair with Patton. It takes two to tango and I dont know what his marriage was like but the southern (and other) womans attitude that she has no use for her husband after the children have been born causes alot of men to stray cause they aint getting it at home and they aint a priest. Patton supposedly wanted to get into the group scene according to ONE artical on the ap Kentucky wire that showed up one afternoon and dissiappeared from kentucky.com thats what tina was really referring to about "the price became too high" on Dr. Phils spoof of a show
^Whats finally over "bill green"; the construction, parking problems, the campuss creep takking over town, illeagal taxes, treason, creative bookkeeping(for unitedway et c.), unfair landlords/no tenent protection ordain-ances, whats gonna change, for the better?

Here is a damage control piece if I have ever read one, and throw in a few misconceptions to boot like the government has a monopoly of force(a UN concept) Recient position papers have stated just that that firearms in the hands of private individuals (not freepersons/freeman or even C/citizens) threatens "the ligitimate power monopoly of the State"(state)... well that is the point of the idea to maintain a free state, or a state of freedom a well regulated militia the RIGHT of the people to keep AND bear arms (concealed or not, its outside of the scope of the powers granted to the State/communistwealth of Kentucky . . . It's not the exposure of information that matters as much as who is using it and how. Government is different from corporate and personal contacts in that it has a monopoly on force, so it must be carefully monitored or restricted. The way to secure liberty is through limits put on government by a free people who pay attention and continue to be outraged at schemes like the TIA, the MATRIX system, and other plans to monitor Americans. . . http://www.techcentralstation.com/010704D.html

Your National Health Care provider won't allow such an unhealthy choice." >Customer: "Damn. What do you recommend, then?" >Operator: "You might try our low-fat Soybean Yogurt Pizza. Your checking account's overdrawn." >Customer: "Never mind. Just send the pizzas. I'll have the cash ready. How long will it take?" >Operator: "We're running a little behind, sir. It'll be about 45 minutes, sir. If you're in a hurry you might want to pick 'em up while you're out getting the cash, but carrying pizzas on a motorcycle can be a little awkward." >Customer: "How the hell do you know I'm riding a bike?" >Operator: "It says here you're in arrears on your car payments, so your car got repo'ed. But your Harley's paid up, so I just assumed that you'd be using it." >Customer: ";@#%/$@&?#!" >Operator: "I'd advise watching your language, sir. You know actually the creation of a third interstate exchange was about three individuals in the Rowan area making a large some of money, and I know what I am talking about. OPPOSE NEW ROADS, fix the ones we have.
This exit issue makes me wonder if there is a unpublished agenda to eliminate rest areas by the DOT as they have been problems for drawing illicit behavior like prostitution and drugs catering to the trucker and or pervert crowd et c.; a few years ago on I-75 one rest area was shut down and or moved to stop this type of situation NOT THAT IT IS HAPPENING HERE but it is seen as it could, and I wonder how much of a design / location factor that is in this exit plan, or any plans by the DOT bureaucrats to eliminate rest areas. There is probably always folks positioning themselves to make money on situations like this, the only thing unamerican about most (criminal?) insider deals is getting caught ? As I have heard from someone over and over; "Everybodies running a scam" and from the 1978 Breaking Away, with Dennis Quaid, the son of the used car salesman laments "Everybody cheats, I just didn't Know" (today's real test of charactor seems to be avoiding participation in all the fraud and scams running in these Several States)
Oil, gas prices shoot up Posted Jan 10, 2004 09:39 AM PST The falling dollar comes home to roost. Crude oil for February delivery closed up 33 cents to $34.31 on the New York Mercantile Exchange - the first time the front-month contract has closed above $34 since March 17, just a few days before the invasion of Iraq. http://www.gazettenet.com/story.cfm?id_no=1100094 http://www.whatreallyhappened.com/
Shutting Up Saddam to Save Bush's Ass Rob Kall OpEdNews.Com Here's what Reuters reported: "The Geneva Convention requires that POWs receive humane treatment, including not being subjected to intimidation or insult and not being turned into a public curiosity. It requires that POWs be given proper food and freedom, be free to exercise their religion and receive monthly pay depending on rank. Air Force Maj. Michael Shavers, a Pentagon spokesman, said Saddam was being given all the rights due him under the treaty. "The bottom line is that Saddam Hussein was the leader of the old regime's military forces, and therefore he was a member of the military, and he was captured. That makes him an enemy prisoner of war," Shavers said. "It's unusual that you have such a high-ranking enemy prisoner of war. So I think we just wanted to make sure that we had carefully thought through all the ramifications," Shavers said." Now, it's interesting, that Saddam, who basically laid down for the US military and hardly put up a fight, is called a prisoner of war, while the Taliban prisoners who fought aggressively, are held in gitmo and are classified instead as enemy combatants who are eligible for torture and who have very limited rights. Very handy. http://www.opednews.com/kall0104_shutting_up_saddam.htm
This type of stuff could(maybe)take contol out of the local syndicate(click/secret societies/network) and in some cases, at least locally, cadidates not approved of by the local infrastructure could actually get elected even if bashed by the powers that be in the snewspaper; Think about it to control what cadidates are approved of you just need one or two "spies" if you will on the executive board membership of each party to know who the other is running, and can also use this to allow a republican (in a democrat dominated area or vice versa) to win every so often to give an appearance of a 2 party system but they are really just the puppet for the establishment . . . http://www.heartbone.com/ways/voting.html "America's Electronic Voting Machines Are Susceptible to Manipulation" - DER SPIEGEL January 5, 2004 Well duuuh. Eaglin is only "retiring" when a approved of president can be found, so when is that? In the past have they publically announced retirements like this? There is no telling how long it will be before he is replaced; that is up to the Regents or their bosses/controllers in the "star chamber"?
Tennent protection was mentioned above^ you can pass all kinds of ordain-ances and regulations but just like somefolks seem to get out of speeding tickets because they have a certain ring or worked on the correct political camp, the enforcement of tennant protection "laws" is gonna depend on getting a attorney from outside the sphere of local influence or filing the motions yourself (for change of venue et c.) I heard about someone that lived just outside the city limits bout 10years ago had sewer backing up into their basement and no heat with 5 children in the house they all slept in the living room, their oldest paid their rent in cash and was told they would get a reciept but instead got an eviction notice and later got a self-help house thru one of those sweatequity "charities". SOME of the local property "owners"/landLORDS are pretty ruthless about renters rights, invading privacy, even threatening to call child protection services to LORD over the peons, and when your moving out better leave someone to guard your stuff cause anything left behind you might find gets piled up and burned or in the dumpster.
by Naomi Klein The Year of the Fake . . . it seems unfair to single out almanac readers for police harassment. As the editor of The World Almanac and Book of Facts rightly points out, "The government is our biggest single supplier of information." Not to mention the local library: A cache of potentially dangerous information weaponry is housed at the center of almost every American town. The FBI, of course, is all over the library threat, seizing library records at will under the Patriot Act. The blacklisting of the almanac was a fitting end for 2003, a year that waged open war on truth and facts and celebrated fakes and forgeries of all kinds. This was the year when fakeness ruled: fake rationales for war, a fake President dressed as a fake soldier declaring a fake end to combat and then holding up a fake turkey. An action movie star became governor and the government started making its own action movies, casting real soldiers like Jessica Lynch as fake combat heroes and dressing up embedded journalists as fake soldiers. Saddam Hussein even got a part in the big show: He played himself being captured by American troops. This is the fake of the year, if you believe the Sunday Herald in Scotland, as well as several other news agencies, which reported that he was actually captured by a Kurdish special forces unit ... http://www.thenation.com/doc.mhtml?i=20040126&s=klein

Army War College Study Blasts U.S. War on Terrorism By Will Dunham WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Iraq (news - web sites) invasion was "an unnecessary preventive war of choice" that has robbed resources and attention from the more critical fight against al Qaeda in a hopeless U.S. quest for absolute security, according to a study recently published by the U.S. Army War College. The 56-page document written by Jeffrey Record, a veteran defense expert who serves as a visiting research professor at the Strategic Studies Institute of the Army War College, represents a blistering assessment of what President Bush (news - web sites) calls the U.S. global war on terrorism. Pentagon officials on Monday said Record was entitled to his opinion, but reiterated Bush's view that Iraq is the "central front" in the war on terrorism . . . http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=578&ncid=578&e=5&u=/nm/20040112/ts_nm/iraq_usa_report_dc

The confidential report by senior army specialist Lieutenant Colonel Graham Howe, who examined a British soldier who suffered osteoporosis and depression after the Gulf War, found that "secret" injections he received before his expected deployment to the Gulf "most probably led to the development of autoimmune-induced osteoporosis". The theory has extra credibility because the soldier in question, ex-Corporal Alex Izett, did not end up going to the Gulf. His regiment, based in Germany, was not deployed there. ...

This is a true happening. But you have to read it all to feel it. Several weekends ago, I was rushing around trying to do some shopping. I was stressed out and not thinking very fondly of the weather right then. It was dark, unseasonably cold, and wet in the parking lot. As I was loading my car up, I noticed that I was missing a receipt that I might need later. So, mumbling under my breath, I retraced my steps to the mall entrance. As I was searching the wet pavement for the lost receipt, I heard a quiet sobbing. The crying was coming from a poorly dressed boy of about 12 years old. He was short and thin. He had no coat. He was just wearing a ragged flannel shirt to protect him from the cold night's chill. Oddly enough, he was holding a hundred-dollar bill in his hand. Thinking that he had gotten lost from his parents, I asked him what was wrong. He told me his sad story. He said that he came from a large family. He had three brothers and four sisters. His father had died when he was nine years old. His mother was poorly educated and worked two full-time jobs. She made very little to support her large family. Nevertheless, she had managed to skimp and save two hundred dollars to buy her children some presents (since she didn't manage to get them anything on their birthdays). His mother had dropped off the young boy on the way to her second job. He was to use the money to buy presents for all his siblings and save just enough to take the bus home. He had not even entered the mall, when an older boy grabbed one of the hundred dollar bills and disappeared into the night. "Why didn't you scream for help?" I asked. The boy said, "I did." "And nobody came to help you?" I queried. The boy stared at the sidewalk and sadly shook his head. "How loud did you scream?" I inquired. The soft-spoken boy looked up and meekly whispered, "Help me!" I realized that absolutely no one could have heard that poor boy cry for help. So I grabbed his other hundred and ran to my car. Sincerely, Martha Stewart

Remember, it is the true patriot who rises to protect his country and his freedom from the most insidious and dangerous menace that can exist – his own government. http://www.givemeliberty.org/rtplawsuit/Update04-Jan-10.htm

I am nothing but a poor sinner, trusting in Christ alone for salvation. - Robert E. Lee - "So far from engaging in a war to perpetuate slavery, I am rejoiced that slavery is abolished." Gen. Lee was offered and accepted a position as president of a financially troubled institution of higher learning – Washington College in Lexington, Va. http://www.sovereignliving.com/glossary/glossary_c_01.html Morehead is incorporated (and is not the same corp. mentioned above as a FOR PROFIT) and under the Clearfield Doctrine their authority as a corporation has no more power over a natural freeperson than any other corporation ...CLEARFIELD TRUST DOCTRINE. Governments descend to the level of a mere private corporation, and take on the characteristics of a mere private citizen… Where private corporate commercial paper [Federal Reserve Notes] and securities [checks] is concerned… For purposes of suit, such corporations and individuals are regarded as entities entirely separate from government. Clearfield Trust Co. v. United States, 318 U.S. 363-371 (1942). See Note. Note: The Clearfield Doctrine is stare decisis* upon all courts, and imposes that “an entity cannot compel performance upon its corporate statutes or corporation rules unless it, like any other corporation, is the Holder in Due Course of some contract or commercial agreement between it, and the one on whom its demands for performance are made, and is willing to produce said document, and to place the same into evidence before trying to enforce its demands. *STARE DECISIS. n. Black’s 7th. ..."in all acts hereafter passed... the word `person' may extend and be applied to bodies politic and corporate... unless the context shows that such words were intended to be used in a more limited sense." Act of Feb. 25, 1871, 2, 16 Stat. 431. Are not all "persons" protected by the 4th and 5th Amendments? No! Corporations, which are legally "persons," are not protected, as explained by the United States Supreme Court in the case of Hale v. Henkel , 201 U.S. 43, 74, that court said: http://autarchic.tripod.com/ ... plus . . . The pecking Order starting from the top in controlling land are; 1. The Pope 2. The Kings of all lands, but we are talking specifically England here. 3. Knights 4. Lord Proprietors of the King in America 5. Royal Governors of the King, in America 6. Administrative officers of the corporate colonies of America 7. Freeholders/Freemen of granted property in America. 8. The officers of the newly constituted States of America which, gave way to the; 9. Officers of the United States which now reverses 8 and 9 due to the States joining Union. 10. The County officers which are the corporate instrumentalities of the State. 11. Simple man, meaning you, reading this. You, number 11, are so far removed from the land that the Lord Almighty gave to all men, that essentially you have no claim but as a squatter on someone else's land and have no control whatsoever in saying you have the right to not pay taxes for the use of the Pope's land. But the Pope is the figure head of a corporation called the Vatican consisting of men forming a "religion," WHICH THE LORD ALMIGHTY NEVER CREATED A "RELIGION," claiming complete dominion over all land in the world. When the Pope dies another of these men is chosen as the new Pope. There is one little quirk that needs to be mentioned. That is, a group of men exist that has control of even the Vatican, therefore every chain holder on down to number 11 on the list is controlled. That group of men are called Bankers. The Pope and the King, in 1213, on to a period just past 1218, lost a lot of money fighting each other and drew on a group of men, one in particular, that loaned to each side money. When neither could pay the loans back and defaulted, the moneylender foreclosed. He foreclosed in agreement by not taking all the property, except for England, as is done today on foreclosures; but, an arrangement was made that satisfied the so called "holy trinity" that is espoused by Mr. Montgomery below . . . http://www.atgpress.com/kifap/britcol/b7.htm

PBS Documentary: Silverstein, FDNY Razed WTC 7 by Jeremy Baker http://www.prisonplanet.com/011704wtc7.html In a stunning and belated development concerning the attacks of 9/11 Larry Silverstein, the controller of the destroyed WTC complex, stated plainly in a PBS documentary that he and the FDNY decided jointly to demolish the Solomon Bros. building, or WTC 7, late in the afternoon of Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2001. This admission appeared in a PBS documentary originally aired in Sept. of 2002 entitled "America Rebuilds". Mr Silverstein's comments came after FEMA and the Society of Civil Engineers conducted an extensive and costly investigation into the curious collapse of WTC 7. The study specifically concluded that the building had collapsed as a result of the inferno within, sparked, apparently, by debris falling from the crumbling North Tower.
This is the stupidest web site I have ever seen! I can't believe ANYONE could make something that makes us look this bad. (as a community) People from all over the world can see this. But since it's here, this is my 2 cents worth: http://www.bushin30seconds.org/
To the post above^ stupidist? I would say thanks but I haint "bill green"; whats REAlLY stupid is all the sheep around here putting up withe all this cooruption in the county and country; Stupid? Hou bout a constructive fraud banquing and scrip and "legal" system? Stupid? hou bout all the junk being sold to the sheople under the guise of making them feel safe. If you are really worried about a community looking stupid due somin bout all dat and more furst for ya go puttin douwn thiz hyere veb page. duhh, go back to yur ballgame er som-in.
I feel my blood boiling? That UK article scared me more than any? Wilding
I think that the ^sheep^ don't see thrue the fog being caused by the cow-manure(BS) spread upon the pastures by the hearders. They are accostomed to the frendly "pat on the back" if you will and the promise of "I'll help you." being said with a beliveable expression and a candid eye to eye gaze. The pat on the back alone is often enough to satisfy the sheep; HOWEVER ; If the sheep return to the hearder who said "I'll help you."; the herder becomes invisible; AND ; If the hearder accidentally materializes and the sheep ask "why haven't you helped me?" there are always a viriety of standard execuses to fall upon. Be it "I'm working verry hard on that issue and will get back with you" or "Let me run this by so or so and I'll get back with you." OR "Mr.SoandSo dose not wan't me to do that" (in some cases this is true that one (or more) leader(s) with executive authority will tie the hands of an honest represenative -Uh- I mean hearder. NOW FOR THE CATCH: NOT VERRY MANY SHEEP GET THE OPPRITUNITY TO SPEAK TO THE HEARDER. Needless to say they don't even know the hearder. They only blindly follow. The MEDIA basicly controls the hearders public image. So that those sheep who read the sNews P(ro)ap(iganda)er think the hearder is a "good guy". AND that the poor honest hearder with his hands tied is a "bad person". BUT this person who has his hands tied (did i say person?) Tries to keep in contact with the people (people are not sheep so i have a tendency to use the wrong words sometimes) as much as possible AND TRIES to do his job anyway by looking for loopholes around the knots which have been tied by the hearders with executive powers. I DON'T KNOW HOW FAR UP THE LATTER THIS CORRUPTION GO'S; BUT IF WE ELECT THE RIGHT PEOPLE TO THE RIGHT COUNTY OFFICES THE CORRUPTION SHOULD STOP at least at the county level. We do have a few good county leaders and officers but they don't "click". I personally believe that things are changeing with the election of our two new county officials. BUT WE NEED TO EDUCATE OUR FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS. We Need A Change in 3 county offices ONE OF WHICH IS IN REALITY A STATE OFFICE in 2007. Vote for the poor honest man who is made to look like a jack@## by the local media.
If the county leader or officer don't "click" then he/she gets the hands tied and it's allmost impossible to get anything done for the people. Electing poor but honest people should put an end to the "click".
When the word QUALIFIED is used by a candidate for an elected county office. (excepting Dist Judges who are actually State Officers and also excepting Co. Attys who are county officers but must be an attourney for 2 years? prior to election and the county surveyor, and the Circuit Clerk whom must be certified) TO BE QUALIFIED FOR CONSTITUTIONAL COUNTY OFFICES: ONE MUST BE AT LEAST 24 YEARS OF AGE and HAVE RESIDED IN THE COUNTY FOR 2 YEARS PRIOR TO THE ELECTION. JUSTICES OF THE PEACE, CO. COMMISSIONERS or MAGISTRATES (as the case may be) MUST HAVE RESIDED IN THE DISTRICT for (i think) 1 YEAR and meet above qualifications. So this "QUALIFIED" termonology in campaign ADs is mearly MORE FOG CLOUDING THE VISION OF THE SHEEP.
The Watchman is crying out. Let the blood be not on my hands. Im sure that some don't know of the (partially disbanded) "COUNTY CLICK" or "CLICK" that I keep crying out about. Hopefully somebody can ARTICULATE just what this "County Click" is. I know it. I see it, I deal with it every day BUT explaining it is beyond my ARTICULATION SKILLS. The Watchman calleth for help!
Best hints on these factors just above^ but what poor/honest cadidate has been made to look like a jack@## lately that I should have voted for? cause I missed that??? . . . Factors resulting in "clicks": 1-Family connections(nepetism where illegal or not); 2-Local Loyalities not illegal including percived institional loyalities such as MSU; 3-Secret Combinations (masons or other cults pagan legal or not; effecting/affecting party processes and thus electons) 4-non-secret combinations-belonging to certain congregations might get you somewhere; bible belt duh?; 5- vote trading by certain members of boards/physical courts/city council/ "trading favors" 7- compromised local and national media, snewspaper, rad-io and the boob tube et c... 6- other stuff we dont Know about cause we aint in on it, as members of the gennerally dumb/numb public in flyover country. Suspected to include MOB and or federal mafia "resident agents" spooks, psyops et c . . .
Here's one percieved problem with electing poor/honest non-puppet people: they haint got the connections/channels to frankfort and DC and their party? The funding for blacktop(gastax) et c. can be hung up by technicalities, threats to shutdown MSU occasionally get thrown around to make the people of the county behave and play along et c. so goooood luck? Occasionally people SEEEM to decoorupt a township but one wunders if it is just a token to appease or give some hope that our system is not a phasod? Jessie Ventura(not poor) and his exposure of (CAFR) surplusses and kickbacks fer example
I should amend my comments above; That candidate was elected. AND with the limited choices on the COUNTY ballot the election went pretty well as far as semi-disbanding a click (I think(HOPE!)). The county jail tax was voted (not by the people)by the powers that be, to be used as blacktop tax. A good overall idea EXCEPT that when the Jail Tax was passed it was the understanding of the people that WHEN THE JAIL WAS PAID FOR THE TAX WOULD BE DROPPED. So be it Legal OR NOT? Blacktop funding is allready in place. It's easy enough for a dumb old country boy to HIRE a Deputy or Assistant who can change the listing of the board of directers of the various NON PROFIT CORPORATIONS registered to (or in the name of)ROWAN COUNTY. These corporations are for FED FUNDING? It is my understanging (and sometimes I misunderstand people) that the reason for ALL of these NP Corps is to obtain Additional FED FUNDING when a particular agency runs out of money and no longer qualifys for said funding. I don't know if it's legal. Im not saying that this is in fact what all the NP Corps are used for BUT what else??? The big man's secret is now exposed and anyone reading here could obtain Federal Money for the County if elected.
The article above from the supposed U.K. worker. I only say supposed because I can not verify this. The MICROWAVE GUN which causes ones blood to boil IS VERRY POSSIBLE. Take for the new POLL-eee-SE LAZER RADAR GUN. Could this lazer radar system be the BY-PRODUCT of the development of such a weapon? Could one not install larger capicators in the units output? Larger final transisters in the output driver? Modify the antenna system? The guy, as crazy as this may sound, could be onto something. His statements are unusual ones and could mimick conspiracy theories but I believe that the concept of boiling ones blood with a microwave gun is possible. Question is: Why would the person not INSTANTLY DIE from HYPOTHERMIA?

Im only an uneducated country hick. You be the Judge.
Is the RCSO's Sheriffs Lake Patrol Officers salaries still paid for by the Federal Govt? If so; Then why are these officers transporting prisoners to out of county detention centers; Thus allowing the sheriff's office to collect mileage? Is it not improper for any person or agency to show a profit from Federal Funds? The profit would be clear as (FREE) officers paid for by the Federal Govt were preforming services that gaind income ($amount per mile) for transporting prisoners. Should not the Jailer be the one transporting? Collecting this mileage to maintain the jail? Does the jailer have his hands tied too? OR Does he just agree to cooperate with the "click"? I personally think our jailer is one of the "goog guys" BUT I have made mistakes in judgement of character before. Comments Anybody???
RETRACTION: ^ "goog guys" should have read "good guys" sorry for the typeo.
A BIG HELLO TH THE INVISIBLE MAN! I SINCERLEY HOPE THAT YOU OR ONE OF YOUR MANY AGENTS ARE READING THIS; OR THAT THEY PRINT IT OUT AND GIVE IT TO YOU. I get tired of hearing everyone bitch and complain about MSU, and how it is evil for this town. If it weren't for MSU, then this town would simply be another burg like Farmers and everyone would have to drive to Maysville or Mt. Sterling for just about anything. MSU students bring a lot of money into this town, as well as encouraging business' to come to town. As for MSU being cheap, it is one of the cheapest public universities around, and does offer a good education. Just because some of you local hicks could hardly pass high school, and couldn't or wouldn't take an entrance exam to college, doesn't mean you have the right to knock those who do. As for tuition, there are these things called loans that almost every student has, that allows them to go to school. MSU is not a party school by any means, due to the lack of jack shit to do, theres only 2 bars in town, and any large parties get busted within hours. It seems to me that anyone who knocks MSU is just jealous because maybe they couldn't cut it, or just decided that living in their 1968 single wide and driving their beat up 76 chevy car was awesome. As for your traffic problems, heres some suggestions: DRIVE THE F##@ING SPEED LIMIT DONT BRAKE GOING UP HILLS DONT STOP FOR GREEN LIGHTS WHEN A LIGHT TURNS GREEN, GO IF YOUR AT A 4 WAY STOP, DONT WAIT FOR A SIGN FROM GOD TO DRIVE THRU IT, JUST GO ON ORDER OF WHO WAS AT SIGN FIRST LEFT LANE=FAST LANE RIGHT LANE=SLOW LANE I realize Moreheadinians are driving deficient, but you can overcome your deficiency with practice. Have a stellar day.
let me just say THIS ABOUT THAT . . ."This about That"
To the post above I have 2 degrees from MSU and I could join MENSA but they bothe consist of people full of themselves. In the cellar of this page these subjects have allready been ranted over, get some new material. The Interstate -64 actually had bigger effects on the economy than MSU, and that is where the big stores are haint they? What is so wrong with living in a smaller community and being country hick? I live in a 1967 single wide cause I dont want to participate in the CRIME OF USURY and constructive fraud of this economic system of MONITISED DEBT so up yours IGNORAMUS. If the world's entire population were moved to texas everyone would have 600square feet, thats about what I dwell in, are you an environut? THEN practice what you preach. I live in the country for lots of reasons, its cleaner, healthier, life expectancy is longer, recreation(s), privacy, quiet et c. et c... If you want to party hard go to Lost Vages or somewheres. My conveyance is from 1986 and according to "EPAII act" even with all the Computer controlled fuel metering it should not be retitled. Whats more envirmentally sound, recycle/scrap a old car or repair and use? It takes alot of fuel/energy to recycle a car, TV, computer, et c. the envirmental thing is to tune it up, or overhaul and DRIVE ON ! I suppose you would have some madate that every on build a house and drive a new car and drown in debt?
If I could get in that wayback machiene from the Rocky&Bullwinkle cartoons I'd go back and modify the course of the interstate to go through north of Owingsville and thru foxvalley, that way you could build cave run resevoir dam below slate creek above Grange City and FLOOD most of the places that flood out like Farmers, Salt Lick, and what was left of Morehead would be Lake Front property at 710ft AMSL so there. MSU could move to "Leasure" over in Morgan Co. along the Devil's Fork which would suit the Alternative Lifestyles advocated with the steam heat closer to the coal at Wrigley. More-Head that is just too Obvious a name for a liberal lazy-fare cirrulium Leasure State University would be real punny too maybe they could get Hillbillery to replace Eaglin. Onward Christian Soldiers
Morehead was the center of the "Rowan County War." On Election Day in 1884, a gunfight broke out after the polls closed. For the next three years, a bitter feud between two families, the Tollivers and the Martins, raged in Rowan County. Morehead State University is indirectly the result of the feud. As the state militia came in to settle the dispute, the Disciples of Christ established a school and church. The school was the forerunner of the university. - "Morehead Normal School." A college for Teachers. So no MSU itself is NOT evil. The EVILS in which people are concerned with should NOT be refered to as MSU. However Evil forces are everywhere you look. Take for instance; THE GARDEN OF EDEN had it's SERPANT. I think we would all most likely agree that THE GARDEN OF EDEN IS THE MOST HOLY PLACE ASIDE OF HEAVEN. HEAVEN also has it's EVILS OUTCASTED from time to time, take SATAN for example. SATAN was once an ANGEL of GOD. When GOD found that SATAN was working to turn the other angels away from GOD, he was barred from heaven. ***I'm not trying to change any holy scriptures here, I'm only recalling this from the memories of my studies on the subject.*** In conclusion: Just because evil entitys or doings reside or happen at a location does not make the location evil. HELL is mearly a place for the incarsoration of evil souls. Being GODS JAIL; HELL should most likely be considered a HOLY PLACE. Just an opinion. -anonymous

What Wolfe's story below dosent say ( all over the state ) about the Rowan Co. Officials engaged in "double dipping" is that they and others attended semin-ars in Frankfort paid for by the State er' Commonwealth to show them and others how to do it ! ! ! (AP) -- House Speaker Jody Richards is pushing a package of ethics bills that made up part of his campaign platform during an unsuccessful run for governor. One of the bills, part of an overall initiative Richards describes as "truth in government," would put certain restrictions on executive branch employees. Those who retired and drew a pension would have to wait two years before taking another job covered by the same retirement system -- a practice known as double-dipping. State government retirees would have to wait 18 months to work as a lobbyist.

HE MURDERED HIS OWN FAMILY MEMBERS b. HE "MARRIED" A BOY, THEN CASTRATED HIM c. HE KICKED HIS PREGNANT WIFE TO DEATH d. HIS SADISTIC SPORT: Suetonius writes that Nero "devised a kind of game in which, covered with the skin of some wild animal, he was let loose from a cage and attacked the private parts of men and women, who were bound to stakes." (The Lives of the Caesars, 6.29) e. HE WAS EVEN CALLED "THE BEAST": Tacitus ... spoke of Nero's ‘cruel nature' that ‘put to death so many innocent men.' Pliny the Elder ... described Nero as ‘the destroyer of the human race' and ‘the poison of the world.' Juvenal tells of ‘Nero's cruel and bloody tyranny.' Apollonius of Tyana specifically states that Nero was called a ‘beast': ‘In my travels, which have been wider than ever man yet accomplished, I have seen man, many wild beasts of Arabia and India; but this beast, that is commonly called a Tyrant, I know not how many heads it has, nor if it be crooked of claw, and armed with horrible fangs. ... And of wild beasts you cannot say that they were ever known to eat their own mother, but Nero has gorged himself on this diet." 5. NERO’S DEATH: He committed suicide by the sword at the age of 31. Cf. Rev. 13:10 - "If anyone is to go into captivity, into captivity he will go. If anyone kills with the sword, with the sword he will be killed." 6. NERO’S NUMBER a. Rev. 13:18 - "Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for the number is that of a man: and his number is 666." (NASV) b. THE HEBREWS HAD NO NUMERALS, and so, used letters to signify numbers, just as the Romans did. Neron Caesar (the Greek rendering, documented by archaeological finds), when transliterated into Hebrew (NRWN QSR) had a number of 666. c. FURTHER EVIDENCE: A well-documented textual variant has 616. A mere copyist's error? Bruce Metzger speculates: "Perhaps the change was intentional, seeing that the Greek form Neron Caesar written in Hebrew characters (nrwn qsr) is equivalent to 666, whereas the Latin form Nero Caesar (nrw qsr) is equivalent to 616." Other New Testament indications of Christ’s imminent return 1. Rom. 13:11-12 - "You know what hour it is, how it is full time now for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed; the night is far gone, the day is at hand." 2. 1 Cor. 7:29-31 - "Brethren, the appointed time has grown very short; from now on, let those who have wives live as though they had none, and those who mourn as though they were not mourning, and those who rejoice as though they were not rejoicing, and those who buy as though they had no goods, and those who deal with the world as though they had no dealings with it. PRETERISM AS THE SOLUTION TO A DILEMMA: The apparent failure of these prophesies to come true has led to skepticism about the reliability of the Bible and the deity of Christ. Preterism solves this problem by maintaining that these prophecies did, in fact, have a first century fulfillment. III. THE OLIVET DISCOURSE: INDICATIONS THAT IT WAS FULFILLED IN A.D. 70 a. THE CONTEXT OF THE DISCOURSE i. THE SEVEN WOES pronounced upon the scribes and Pharisees in Matt. 23. They are pronounced not only upon them, but upon the entire generation (23:36). ii. QUESTIONS concerning when the temple would be destroyed, and what would be the sign of Jesus’ coming and the end of the age (24:1-4). The temple is Herod’s, and Jesus links its destruction with his future coming and the end of the age. b. THE SIGNS OF JESUS’ COMING AND THE END OF THE AGE: THEIR FIRST CENTURY FULFILLMENT i. FALSE CHRISTS AND PROPHETS DECEIVING MANY: (Matt. 24:5, 11, 24). Josephus writes that many false prophets and false Messiahs appeared during the government of Felix (A.D. 53-60), deluding many. Such figures played a leading role in the Jewish revolt in late A.D. 66 that led to the Jewish War. ii. WARS AND RUMORS OF WARS (Matt. 6-7). These would not have been perceived as an unusual sign during most periods of world history, but during the pax Romana war was extremely rare. E.g., Epictetus writes that "Caesar has obtained for us a profound peace. There are neither wars nor battles" (Discourses 3:13:9) Josephus and Tacitus both write of the unsettledness of the empire leading up to A.D. 70 (see below). iii. FAMINES (Matt. 24:7). Josephus writes that during Claudius' reign (A.D. 41-54) there were four seasons of great scarcity. In the fourth year of his reign, the famine in Judea was so severe that the price of food became enormous and great numbers died. Cf. Acts 11:28. He also describes starvation and cannibalism during the final five-month siege of Jerusalem (Wars 5.12.3 and 6.5.1) iv. EARTHQUAKES (Matt. 24:7). These occurred in Caligula's (A.D. 37-41) and Claudius' (A.D. 41-54) reigns. Josephus reports many earthquakes in A.D. 68 in the
